Jolene received a wonderful early Christmas Gift this year from her God-daughter and husband, Jen and Paulie! They arranged for her to experience horseback riding at The Painted Pony Riding Stables in Windham, CT. Through their efforts and Stacey Segar Carpenter (owner) and Ruth, a fun afternoon followed. Jolene was a bit timid at first, but Stacey and Ruth allowed her time to just enjoy being near Hercules, as this was her first up close and personal experience with a horse! And, Hercules did not disappoint, as he was as gentle as could be. Jolene really enjoyed her time on the horse, once she became used to being so far off the ground! Before the afternoon was over, we were all treated to a little showing of their resident miniature horse who playfully scampered around the arena and the most beautiful Imported Irish Cob horse, Beattle Bailey. Many thanks to Jen, Paulie, Pam, Stacey and Ruth for making this possible for Jolene, as I know she will remember this forever!
